What is Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program (PMEGP)?
Prime
Minister's Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) is a credit-linked subsidy
program run by the Ministry of MSME. The objective of which is to create
employment opportunities or promote employment in rural and urban areas.
Under the
PMEGP scheme, unemployed youth and women will be given Rs 1 lakh to start a
business. Loan up to Rs 50 lakh is given, which is also called PMEGP loan.
Under this scheme, the government also gives subsidy ranging from 15% to 35%.
Documents Required for Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) Loan
- Applicant's identity card like Aadhar Card
- PAN card of the applicant is also mandatory.
- Passport size photo to fill the form
- Full report of your business or project
- 8th class certificate if the applicant is 8th pass
- If the applicant belongs to a particular category then his/her certificate
- Entrepreneur Development Program Certificate (EDP Certificate) (if you have it)
- Certificate if he/she belongs to OBC, SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, Disabled or any special region
How to apply for Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) Loan?
To apply for
PMEGP loan scheme, you can first check your eligibility on Jansamarth portal.
After which, if you are eligible, you will be redirected to the official portal
of PMEGP loan, where you can complete the entire application.
Apart from this,
you can also apply directly by visiting PMEGP official portal. For this you
will have to follow these steps.
- First of all
you have to go to the officialwebsite of PMEGP.
- Then in the website you will see the option of “Application For New Unit” where you have to click on it.
- In the next page, the complete form of PMEGP loan will open in front of you.
- In this form you will have to fill important things like your Aadhaar number, enrollment ID, name, date of birth, district and state.
- Here some important certificates (like EDP certificate or caste certificate) will also have to be uploaded.
- After entering all the information you have to click on “Save Application Data”.
How to check PMEGP loan application status?
- First of all
click on this link http://kviconline.gov.in/pmegp/.
- After this go to PMEGP online application section.
- Enter your Application ID here and click on “View Status”.
- Now you can check your PMEGP loan status here.
